Portulaca amilis
When doing research on this plant species, I discovered that some species are edible with a mushroom type flavor. I love the color and texture of this plant and consider it a great addition to the garden.
Hi, It's not Portulaca amilis. The doubled petals and linear leaves rule it out. Looks more like P. grandiflora to me, which is a common garden plant, sometimes found naturalized.
I think P. grandiflora has 5 distinct petals and I am not sure it can survive as a perennial in zone 2-3 (northern Canada). I will do a few more inquiries.
