After an awesome weekend I spent Sunday hiking at Grotto Canyon located near Canmore Alberta in the Rocky Mountains. Because you are hiking on a riverbed, the hike is quite slippery and my new hiking boots provided little traction. The situation was made worse because of the freezing rain that they had in the area earlier in the day.
There is a collection of pictographs located near the falls which I did not have the experience to see, simply because of the icy conditions but I do intend to go back soon after I purchase crampons for that extra traction. It was hilarious to see the dog out in these icy conditions and she was sure to get a workout.
